Esen Çağlar Economic Studies
Esen Caglar joined TEPAV in 2005 and has been the organization’s Deputy Managing Director since 2013. In this role, he manages four different research programs on (i) industrial policy and competitiveness, (ii) local and regional economic development, (iii) economic integration and foreign economic relations, and (iv) special economic zones. Under these programs, Mr. Caglar has managed over forty projects in Turkey’s various regions, as well as the Balkans, Middle East, North Africa and the Caucasus.
Mr. Caglar’s administrative responsibilities at TEPAV include program coordination, talent management, staffing and recruitment.
In addition to his appointment at TEPAV, Mr. Caglar is an adjunct lecturer at Bilkent Univeristy and TOBB Economics and Technology University since 2006.
Mr. Caglar holds an MPA in international development (MPA-ID) from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and an A.B.in Politics and Political Economy from Princeton University.
