TEPAV and Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) organized a joint panel titled "Turkey's Spinning World: Political, Economic and Geopolitical Developments" in Brussels on 13th October, 2008. Ersin Kalaycıoğlu from Sabancı University talked about the latest trends and transformation in Turkish politics, while the economic aspects of transformation were discussed by Süreyya Serdengeçti, the former governor of the Central Bank of Turkey. The geopolitical spinning of Turkey was presented by Mustafa Aydın from TOBB-University of Economics and Technology within a regional context and by Soli Özel from Bilgi University with a particular focus on the relations with the EU and the USA. The panel was chaired by Michael Emerson from CEPS.
