Serdengeçti and "Turkey's Renaissance: From Banking Crisis to Economic Revival"

ANKARA- TEPAV Stability Institute Director and Former Governor of Central Bank of Turkey Serdengeçti, expressed that the crisis efforts of not only the Central Bank and the Treasury, but also of the IMF and other institutions during and after the 2001 crisis efforts played a vital role in the revival of Turkey's economy and ensuring economic stability..

Serdengeçti wrote a comment in the book "Successes of the International Monetary Fund: Untold Stories of Cooperation at Work" edited by Eduard Brau and Ian McDonald, under the chapter titled "Turkey's Renaissance: From Banking Crisis to Economic Revival" written by Hugh Bredenkamp, Mats Josefsson and Carl-Johan Lindgren. In this comment, Serdengeçti addressed the period giving way to the 2001 crisis and the recovery from the crisis.
