ISTANBUL - TEPAV is looking for the fast growing firms of Turkey. "The Turkey 25" will identify the fastest growing Turkish firms to bring local and international attention to their success. TEPAV will carry out the project under the leadership of Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and in collaboration with the US based AllWorld Network. The inauguration meeting of the project will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 in Istanbul.

The project to be carried out in collaboration with AllWorld Network, founders of which involves Professor Michael Porter of Harvard Business School, aims to bring worldwide attention to the growth firms in Turkey after Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Lebanon, UAE, India and Pakistan.

Firms will earn recognition and expand their opportunities

AllWorld Network, established in Boston in 2007, announces lists of fast growing firms in developing countries to increase the visibility of successful firms in the global arena. Winner firms join a global network of firms with high growth potential from each country. This increases the visibility of the winner firms which expands the opportunities for client portfolios, relations with suppliers as well as access to finance. In addition, they are invited to attend the AllWorld Leadership Summit at Harvard University.

The Arabia 500, AllWorld Network's latest project to identify the fastest growing firms among Arab countries, was carried out under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan. The patronage of the Turkey 25 is assumed by TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu.

Turkey 25 Project will be inaugurated with the press meeting in Istanbul Four Seasons Hotel on Tuesday, April 26, 2011. In the meeting, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, TEPAV Director Güven Sak, AllWorld Network's founder Anne Habiby and Turkey 25 Coordinator Ozan Acar will deliver speeches.

Qualifying criteria for the applicant firms are as follows:

  • Employment: Applicant firms must have 10 or more full time employees in 2010.
  • Turnover: Firms that have a minimum revenue (USD) of at least $100,000 in 2008 and $500,000 in 2010 can apply with audited statements or audited letter of confirmation.
  • Legal structure: All independent, for-profit private firms can apply.
  • Holding companies: Applicants cannot be a holding company but can be an independent legal and operating entity owned by a holding company.
  • Other non-qualifying firms: Non-profit firms, holding companies, franchise, auto dealership, bank or utility companies cannot apply.
