Preventing Unregistered Employment Project (KADİP)

Origin of funding: Diyarbakir Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Preventing Unregistered Employment Project aimed to ensure the coordination of worker and employer associations and organizations to prevent unregistered employment, which is one of the greatest impediments to the sustainability of the social security system. The project was carried out by Diyarbakir Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the scope of the Promoting Registered Employment through Innovative Measures Grant Scheme, targeted at promoting registered employment.
Main objectives of the Project are:
- To increase registered employment for the public sector,
- To unveil unregistered economy and increase value added,
- To secure the spread of social security rights to all citizens with a perception of the social state,
by raising public awareness.
Targets of the Project can be listed as follows:
- To identify the economic and social factors that facilitates unregistered employment,
- To raise public opinion for eliminating unregistered employment,
- To discover sectors among which unregistered employment is high and to concentrate awareness-raising efforts,
- To ensure the cooperation and support of relevant parties to initiate and implement long-lasting measures,
- To encourage registered employment by promoting the incentives and supports provided to employers,
- To support the improvement of registered employment by ensuring the advancement of private employment bureaus and enabling the training of qualified labor in line with the demands of employers.
TEPAV has carried out "Labor Market Analysis" and developed "Labor Market Analysis Final Report" within the scope of the project.
The following services were provided by TEPAV:
§ Sample selection of 2000 companies by taking into account the number of personnel and sectors of enterprises operating in Diyarbakir and its districts.
§ Survey implementation with the companies under the defined sample.
§ Determining the employment capacity, employment targets and vocational training needs of the companies both qualitatively and quantitatively in the context of the labor market analysis
§ Labor Market Analysis Final Report, which includes the problems and recommended solutions for unregistered employment.
