Origin of funding: Diyarbakir Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Developing a Local Vocational Training Network Project was developed in the context of the Human Resources Development Operational Program under the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA) and implemented by Diyarbakir Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The overall objective of the project was to ensure the contribution of vocational training to economic development.

TEPAV carried the following activities within the scope of the project:
§ Needs Analysis for Physical Equipment in Vocational Training Institutions:
19 vocational training institutions were studied with respect to the sufficiency of physical equipments. The situation of the equipments were identified, and the equipments in institutional were assessed in qualitative and quantitative terms. Via face-to-face interviews with trainers and school administrators, equipment needs were identified.
§ Needs Analysis for Trainer Needs of Vocational Training Institutions:
19 vocational training institutions were studied with respect to the sufficiency of trainers. The efforts first concentrated on the analysis of the current state and the indicators for the number of trainers, their field of training, and their productivity were analyzed for each of the 19 vocational training institutions. Additionally, face-to-face interviews were carried out with the students.
§ Labor Market Analysis:
A sample of 1000 companies were formed taking into account the number of personnel and sector-distribution of enterprises operating in Diyarbakir and its districts. Surveys were conducted with the companies willing to participate, via face-to-face interview method. The services provided by the companies in the sample were consistent with the trainings that were held in the 19 vocational training institutions in the province.
