Ambassador (Emeritus) Murat N. Ersavcı is a highly experienced diplomat with 41 years of public service. He has represented Turkey as ambassador in the Republic of Ireland, Sultanate of Oman, Australia (Ambassador to Independent State of Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Republic of Vanuatu, Republic of Nauru, Republic of Kiribati and Republic of Marshall Islands) and finally the Kingdom of Belgium.

He has served as Senior Adviser to the Prime Minister and to the Foreign Minister, Director General of EU Affairs (MFA), Director General of Consular Affairs (MFA), Director General of Press and Information (Office of the Prime Minister).

He possesses expertise in defence matters, bilateral economic relations, public diplomacy, conflict resolution, cross-cultural communication, public relations and worked as a Special Envoy delivering mission-critical results.

During his time in the Foreign Ministry, he has been on post in Germany, Greece, Italy, Iran, U.S.A, Austria (UN Office Vienna). Following his retirement in 2011 he has continued to work for the Turkish Government until 2018 as a Special Envoy, as well as Chief Delegate to the International Bureau of Exhibitions in Paris, France. He has also worked as a consultant for some major national and international companies.

Ambassador Ersavcı is the author of various articles in the international and Turkish Media. He has lectured on Turkish foreign policy at various international think-tanks and universities. He is a member of the Global Relations Forum-Istanbul.

Ambassador Ersavcı joined TEPAV in April 2019 as a Center Director.
