TEPAV took part in the “Rethinking Connectivity: New Geographies, New Markets, New Infrastructure” Roundtable held in Dubai on October 13, 2025, to discuss new opportunities for global cooperation in connectivity, trade, and investment.
TEPAV attended the “Rethinking Connectivity: New Geographies, New Markets, New Infrastructure” Roundtable 2025. The event was organized by the Observer Research Foundation (ORF), ORF Middle East, the South African BRICS Think Tank (SABTT), and the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC).
The one-day, high-level convening brought together policymakers, industry leaders, scholars, civil society representatives, and multilateral organizations to explore new opportunities and partnerships in connectivity, infrastructure, trade, and investment across Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
Opening remarks were delivered by Samir Saran, President of the Observer Research Foundation (India), Muath Alwari, Director of the Policy Planning Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (United Arab Emirates), and Omar Al Muhairi, Group Senior Vice President for Government Affairs at DP World.
The Director of the Geoeconomics Center at TEPAV, Feride Inan, participated in the session “Making Plurilateralism Work with Multilateralism: A Roadmap for New Economic Partnerships.” The panel was moderated by Sarah Mosoetsa, Chief Executive Officer of the Human Sciences Research Council, South Africa, and included Valeriia Gorbacheva, Deputy Head of the BRICS Expert Council; Abla Abdel Latif, Executive Director and Director of Research at the Egyptian Centre for Economic Studies; and Chengqiu Wu, Associate Professor in the Department of International Politics at the School of International Relations and Public Affairs, Fudan University, China.
