“Merih Celasun Memorial Lecture” will be given by Hasan Ersel

This year, the memorial lecture section of the event will host Hasan Ersel, one of Turkey's prominent academics, as the lecturer. A former faculty member at the Faculty of Political Science, Ankara University and of Sabancı University, Ersel will give a lecture titled “How much of the economic policy inspired by economic theory?”.

First held at TEPAV in 2010, a memorial lecture touching upon an important problem in Turkey's economy is held by one of the world’s and Turkey’s leading academics every year. Previous guest lecturers include Dani Rodrik, Daron Acemoğlu, Timur Kuran and İlhan Tekeli.
