Seda Başıhoş holds BSc degrees in Economics and in Public Finance from Hacettepe University (2012). As an exchange student, she also completed a minor degree in Political Economy from University of Bremen (Germany).
Currently, she is a graduate student at Hacettepe University in Economics. For her M.S. thesis, she is working with Dr. Mustafa Aykut Attar, on the very long-run (500-year and future) growth and development process of the Turkish economy by analyzing endogenous technological progress, demographic transition and rural-urban migration. In addition to the thesis, they are working on some counter-factual fertility dynamics to study the pro-natalist policies and/or rhetoric.
She is also working as research assistant for the project of which title is An Analysis of Labor Market Transition in Turkey, at The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey.
Previously, she worked as an intern researcher in the Turkish Ministry of Development, the Department of Public-Private Cooperation.
Seda Başıhoş worked at TEPAV from December 2014 to May 2017.
