Yasemin Satır Çilingir graduated from Bilkent University Department of Economics in 2009. Right after graduation, she started her doctoral studies at Boston University Department of Economics. Meanwhile, Satır earned a masters degree in political economy (M.A.P.E) in 2012, and is a Ph.D. candidate now. Her interests include macroeconomics, political economy of elections and separatist terrorist groups.
During her academic studies, she thought classes in macroeconomics at Sabanci University and Boston University MET College, and worked as a teaching and research assistant at Boston University Department of Economics. She attended seminars/talks/lectures at different institutions in Turkey and USA, and did an internship at the Centre for Policy and Research on Turkey.
