Günbey Korkmaz graduated from TOBB University of Economics and Technology with a degree in Economics in 2025. During his studies, he focused on digital currencies, renewable energy applications, statistical modeling, and international trade, and took part in various academic projects.

In 2022, Korkmaz completed an internship in the finance department at ULAK Communication, where he worked on projects related to budget planning and improving financial processes. During the same period, he developed a project exploring the use of renewable energy applications in the telecommunications sector.

Korkmaz also has experience in the field of radicalization and security studies, having contributed to projects that examined youth radicalization processes through field research.

Günbey Korkmaz joined TEPAV as a Research Associate in February 2025.
