Completed project ( February 2008 - October 2008)
The main objective of the project was to identify the basic needs of the government institutions in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan in term of public management, placing a special focus on fiscal policy and Ministry of Finance. Each country was analyzed in this context. A general note on the basic needs of the government officials was prepared and was combined with brief country reports. These country reports also discussed the basic challenges of these countries both in terms of macro and micro framework.
The end result was to develop a curriculum for the government officials from these countries, based on the basic needs which were mentioned in the reports. The concept note, which accompanies the basic report, displays the curriculum in details.
