The overall objective of the project was to strengthen impact assessment capacity of Turkey in order to implement the NPAA and the Accession Partnership, with a reference to the Acquis Communautaire. For this purpose, the project;
- intended to raise awareness of opportunities and challenges imposed during the EU accession process
- aimed to build expertise capacity on impact analysis giving a special emphasis to the "Council Directive 2001/80/EC on the limitation of emissions of certain pollutants into the air from large combustion plants" under the title of environment which is one of the primary issues of EU accession negotiations.
- carried out a micro impact assessment regarding the concerned directive
