Six EU Member and Candidate Countries Examine the Impact of the Economic Crisis on Industrial Relations… Experts from partner organizations, including TEPAV will come together with the social stakeholders in Brussels in July as a part of the EU Project.

ANKARA – In the scope of the Project titled "The Economic Crisis Impact on Industrial Relations National Systems: Policy Responses As Key Recovery Tools", experts from the six partner countries will travel to Brussels to take part in a 5-day study trip at the beginning of July 2012.

During the study visit, several meetings will be held to bring together experts from Bulgaria, Estonia, Poland, Turkey, Croatia, Macedonia and representatives from trade union confederations, employers' confederations, members of the EU Commission and other EU institutions, research centers and media. In this context, brief presentations on the results of the research conducted by each partner country on industrial relations, national systems and new trends that have emerged after the global economic crisis will take place. The visit also aims to exchange views and information on the future of industrial relations at the national and European level, as well as to investigate the policy responses of European social partners to the global economic crisis.

The project "The Economic Crisis Impact on Industrial Relations National Systems: Policy Responses As Key Recovery Tools" is implemented by the Center for Economic Development, the leading organization and its partners, the Center for Research and Policy Making (the FYR of Macedonia), Euro College of University of Tartu (Estonia), Economic Policy Research Foundation of Turkey (TEPAV), Confederation of Trade Unions (Bulgaria), Institute for Public Affairs (Poland), and  Institute for International Relations (Croatia). The project is financed by the DG Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion.
