Employment Increased by 972 Thousand in a Year, Decreased 48 Thousand in a Month 69th Issue of TEPAV Employment Bulletin Is Published
The number of employees in formal employment increased by 7,2 percent in November 2017 compared to November 2016 and to 14 million 556 thousand. Seasonally adjusted values show that the number of employees in formal employment decreased by 48 thousand compared to October 2017.
In November 2017, the number of tradesmen and farmers increased by 2,3 percent compared to November 2016 and became 2 million 768 thousand. Considering the seasonally adjusted values, increase in the number of tradesmen and farmers was 8 thousand compared to October 2017.
The number of public sector employees became 2 million 979 thousand with a decrease of 0,2 percent compared to November 2016. Considering the seasonally adjusted values, the number of public sector employees increased by 9 thousand compared to October 2017.
