Tepav | Epri and ERF Launched the Country Profile for Turkey
Publication Date:12/08/2005

Tepav | Epri has supported the launching of the Turkey Country Profile on 13 August 2005. The Turkey Country Profile is a part of a series of 13 Profiles published by the Economic Research Forum (ERF) and the Institut de La Mediterrannee (IM), within the framework of the Forum Euro-Mediterranee des Instituts Economiques (FEMISE), supported by the European Commission. The Profile covers, for each country, the themes of Macroeconomics, Finance, Trade, Labor and Governance and is written by a team of distinguished national economists specialized in these areas. It addresses the burning issues and challenges that have faced each country economy in the recent past - within each theme - and presents the policy options for the country future economic development. The project also receives funding from the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development.

Turkey's Country Profile launch event brought together eminent policy makers, business people, practitioners and members of civil society to debate the findings of the Profile. Mr. Emre Deliveli, Coordinator of the Economic Policy Studies Program at Tepav | Epri, presented the initial findings of the Investment Climate Assessment Project, which is a joint project of the World Bank and Tepav | Epri.
