Significance of G20 will be discussed at TEPAV

ANKARA- TEPAV organized a meeting to discuss the G20 on the eve of the G20 Toronto Summit to be held on June 26-27, 2010.

At the meeting to be held at TEPAV on Monday, opening speeches will be delivered by Prof. Dr. Güven Sak, TEPAV Managing Director, Serap Özcoşkun, Deputy Director General for Multilateral Political Affairs, and H.E Mark E. Bailey, Ambassador of Canada.

Keynote speaker Prof. John Kirton from Toronto University will deliver a presentation with the title "Governing Economic Governance: Canada's G20 Summit from Toronto to Turkey". In his presentation, Dr. Kirton will discuss the significance of G20, established in1999 following the Asian crisis. Kirton will examine what Canada and Turkey bring to this group, the ways in which each country might hope to influence the G20 agenda, and how they might work together to achieving their aims.
