In his speech, Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. "Turkey Fast Growth 25 (Turkey 25) Project" will bring worldwide recognition to the most dynamic firms in Turkey. To introduce and inaugurate the Project, a meeting was held in Istanbul with the participation of TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, TEPAV Entrepreneurship Institute Director Prof. Dr. Serdar Sayan, AllWorld Network's founder Anne Habiby and Turkey 25 Coordinator Ozan Acar.

Entrepreneurship is the key to a large economy

Delivering a speech at the meeting, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they are of the opinion that Turkey will grow as the entrepreneurship advances and that entrepreneurship was the key to Turkey's becoming one of the 10 largest economies of the world by 2023. Stressing that the Anatolia is full of entrepreneurs that sense the opportunities, make innovations and generate employment, he maintained that they made efforts to advance entrepreneurship in Turkey. Hisarcıklıoğlu said that in this context, TEPAV Entrepreneurship Institute offered training programs for the institutionalization of SMEs and the newly established Department of International Entrepreneurship in TOBB University of Economics and Technology raised entrepreneurs that study economics and at the same time Russian and Arabic and that are capable of doing business both in Turkey and in the countries of the region. He added:

"Now we are launching the AllWorld "Turkey 25" to increase the visibility of the fastest growing entrepreneurs across the world. Most successful 25 firms which will be identified upon purely objective criteria will be introduced to investors and strategic partnerships on international scale. All private firms which employ 10 or more full time employees and which have a minimum revenue of at least $100,000 in 2008 and $500,000 in 2010 can apply to Turkey 25. I call all entrepreneurs with a fast growing firm for applying to Turkey 25."

What will firms earn?

Hisarcıklıoğlu stressed that the winning entrepreneurs will earn a lot from the Turkey 25 Project and added:

"Winners will join a network of successful entrepreneurs from the region as well as from the world. Successful entrepreneurs will be offered leadership training at Harvard University. They will earn endorsement in the international media and enjoy new business opportunities. Firms involved in the Turkey 25 list will attract domestic and foreign funds. Therefore, successful entrepreneurs will be advanced not only in Turkey but also throughout the world."

Visibility is important in becoming distinguished

TEPAV Entrepreneurship Institute Director Prof. Dr. Serdar Sayan stated that increasing visibility is of critical importance in becoming distinguished from other firms offering similar services and products.
