Armenian Entrepreneurs to Visit Turkey Entrepreneurs will attend a series of events in Istanbul and Antalya, through the program organized in the scope of the Project for Armenia-Turkey Normalisation Process.

23/02/2015 - Viewed 1799 times ANKARA- For the second phase of the Exchange of Entrepreneurs project introduced under the Project for Armenia-Turkey Normalisation Process, a delegation of Armenian entrepreneurs will visit Turkey.

Jointly organized by TEPAV and Public Journalism Club (PJC), the second phase of the Exchange of Entrepreneurs project will be held in Istanbul and Antalya on February 25 – March 1, 2015. The first stage of the events was carried out in Yerevan and Gyumri, Armenia in November 2014.

In the context of the 5-day exchange program, an Entrepreneurship Delegation of 14 people from Armenia will go to Istanbul. The event will kick off on Wednesday, February 25, 13:30 at Cezayir Restaurant with a roundtable meeting open to press. The meeting will bring together ICT experts, investors, academia, and entrepreneurs from Armenia and Turkey to discuss collaboration and opportunities in the ICT sectors of the two countries. Opening remarks of the meeting will be delivered by Ussal Şahbaz, TEPAV Project Coordinator, and Seda Muradyan, Director of the PJC.

Other themes for discussions will include “General Overview of IT industry in Turkey & Armenia”, “Investments, Startups, investment environment in Armenia and Turkey”, and “Internet freedom and Government-Internet relationship, Cyber wars.”

The second day of the program will start with a study visit to Istanbul Technical University Tekno Park. Following an informative tour, the delegation will visit Monitise, Solvoyo and Rasyonet, startup companies based at the Techno Park, and FitStartup Factory. On February 26, there will be a study visit to Yemeksepeti.com where the delegation will also attend a panel session entitled “Investment Climate, and Entrepreneurship in Armenia and Turkey.”

After the Istanbul program, the delegation will go to Antalya to participate in Startup Turkey on February 27-28.
