Nicosia – If managed well, the Public-Private Model can increase opportunities while minimizing risks, TEPAV Deputy Executive Director Emin Dedeoğlu said in his opening speech, noting that Turkey has been applying the model for many years.

Vargın Varer, KKTO Deputy Chairman, stressed for his part that the “Public-Private Partnership Model” has recently been on the agenda as part of the Northern Cyprus Water Supply Project. Noting that the model was widely used across the world, Varer also said that it was a subject of debate that often accompanied controversies on privatization. The aim of the seminar co-organized with TEPAV was to discuss how the model could be implemented in Northern Cyprus, Varer said.

During the seminar, KKTO Executive Board Member Mustafa Genç and TEPAV Advisor Osman Yılmaz made presentations about “Public-Private Partnership from the Private Sector Perspective” and “Public-Private Partnership Model and Practices”.
