Levent Gönenç was born in Ankara in 1968. He graduated Ankara University, Faculty of Law and holds an “ master degree” from Ankara University, Social Sciences Institute , with a thesis titled “ New Trends in Constitutional Law: International Constitutional Law” in 1994. Prof Gönenç continued his doctoral studies (1994-1998),in Holland, Leiden University, Law School and assumes the title of “Doctor of Law” with a thesis titled “ Prospects for Constitutinalism in Post-Communist Countries”. Since 1992, Prof. Gönenç has been an academic member of Ankara University Faculty of Law, Constitutional Law Department, was appointed as a “ Professor” in 2014. Prof. Gönenç has both turkish and english publications in the field of constitutional law and political sciences.
